Based on the classic novel by C S Lewis
“The Chronicles of Narnia”
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. World War II has just begun, and Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie are sent from London to the house of the eccentric professor Digory Kirke.
They find life in the house extremely dull, until Lucy discovers a wardrobe that leads to a magical world called Narnia, where animals can talk.
The others don’t believe her at first, but soon all of them go through the wardrobe and discover all is not well in Narnia.
The land is being kept in a perpetual winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis, who turns anyone who doesn’t obey her into stone.
The children join Aslan, and the animals loyal to him, in an attempt to vanquish Jadis. Aslan is sacrificed by the witch, but comes back to life through “Deeper Magic”
In the final battle, the witch is defeated by Aslan.
The children become Kings and Queens and reign over Narnia for 15 years.
They return home only to find themselves as children again and realize that their years in Narnia have taken no time at all on this side of the wardrobe.
